The answer from the leader of the Slovak political party KDH to the letter attending the case Ake Green

Slovak version Slovak version | Deutsche version Deutsche version

Dear Mrs. Martinova,

You probably have not read thoroughly enough through our position on the subject of homosexuality. We have never judged these people. On the contrary: we feel respect towards them as we do towards every other human being. But, we can not support homosexuality. And this is a big difference. We are standing to everything we have presented. Yes, Dr. Rakus could tell you a lot more about this. People with your opinions recently also attacked him strongly.

It is nonsense that one of our prominent members might be a homosexual. We know exactly when somebody started to spread these rumours, and also who started it. As somebody was not able to compete with him as a politician, this somebody chose the way of gossip. You too have adopted this opinion, even though you have no proof of it. You, who accuse us of not being able to form our own opinions. If we did not have our own opinions, even if it should not be the correct one, our party would not be here as the oldest political party in Slovakia.

We are convinced that one can not build a healthy society without a healthy family. A healthy family consists of a man, a wife (father, mother) and the children. We will never agree that any other form of living together should have the same rights as a family. The past has proved to us that all societies were split and degenerated after the destruction of the family. We want Slovak society to stay healthy.

With respekt
Pavol Hrusovsky,
leader of the KDH-political party
