A letter to the leader of the Slovak political party KDH attending the case Ake Green

Dear Mr. Hrusovsky,

I hereby would like to express an intense protest against your recent campaign against homosexual people.

You are defending a Swedish priest (Ake Green), who expressed that homosexual people are “a cancer tumor in the body of society”. You claim that this is about the opinion of a private person. But, you know very well that a priest is not a private person at all, rather a public servant, and that everything which he says in a sermon in a church, widely effects the opinions of the people present, - and, unfortunately, most of all the people who, like slaves, accept the opinions of the church leaders, because they don’t dare to develop their own ones. So, don’t compare the opinions of the mentioned priest with those expressed by a private person in a café over a glass of wine...

It would interest me very much if you would also call the famous Christian author Henri Nouwen “a cancer tumor in the body of society”? His books are read by millions of people all over the world. He was also a homosexual, but he never dared to admit it while he was alive, because he feared the judgement of people like you. But, before his death he planned to write an open book about this, which at the end the author Michael Ford did at his side. He published the book with the title “The Wounded Prophet”. I hope it will not be long until this book is published in Slovakia, to correct a lot of false opinions.

If you really would like to know something more about the lives of homosexuals, I could send you the life stories of two believing men, who long fought with homosexuality, hoping for the possibility of changing their sexuality, and who, in the end, resigned and accepted reality as it is. One of them, Jeremy Marks, was for a long time the leader of the English branch of the organisation Exodus International. Dr. Rakus could tell you a lot more about this organisation. (Comment from K. Martinova: Dr. Rakus is a colleague of Mr. Hrusovsky, - a psychiatrist who often has openly spoken about his success in healing homosexuals, even if he has never been able to present a totally healed one. Recently Mr. Rakus was expelled from the formal Psychiatrist organisation in Slovakia, for this reason.)

Finally, I would like to add that I think it is a disgrace when you attack homosexual people in this way, while you have at least one of them at the top of your own party, and you even tried to get him into an extremely important political state position. I am sure you know who I am talking about. I just hope that this whole campaign is not the initiative of this person, in order to be able to stay in your party. If it happens to be so, please greet him from me (and from all of us)...

I am convinced that it is necessary for you to think thoroughly through, whether you really want to continue in this way.
